Michael H. Mackey, 77, of Summit County entered his eternal home with Christ on Wednesday May 21, 2025. Mike graduated from Barberton High School in 1966. Shortly after graduation he married Jeanette, his sweetheart of 58years. Then he served in the Army in Fort Hood, Texas. Mike would later work and retire from Mac-Tac/ Morgan Adhesive. Mike loved to do many things throughout his life, as a child he especially enjoyed going horseback riding with his sister Gwen. As he got older Mike enjoyed outdoor sports with Jeanette and their only child and best friend Brian. They enjoyed dirt bikes, fishing, target shooting, working on cars and trucks and lots of laughter.
Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Mackey; son, Brian Mackey; parents, Harold and Margaret Mackey and sister-in-law, Marie Moore.
Those left to cherish his memory; grandson, Ryan (Sadie) Mackey; granddaughter, Amanda Mackey; great granddaughter, Lettie Mackey; sister, Gwen (Dave) Robinson; brother in law, John (Diana) Biggins; sister in law, Diana (Mark) Byers and Sharon (Richard) McLean; nephews, David and Scott Robinson, Daniel (Cheryl) and Dennis Biggins, Elijah, Liam and Kelton Williams; nieces, Angela Williams and Tammy Jenkins.
Mike’s passing has created an emptiness for all of us who loved him, but we know he now lives in Glory with Christ and reunited with Jeanette and Brian.
