Jean and family,
What a beautiful obituary for Mike. Pat and I send our deepest sympathies for your loss. We are devastated with the news and our hearts go out to you. We will always treasure Mike´s friendship from when we first met at Girard Bank, to his daily bologna sandwiches, to him being best man at our wedding 50 years ago, and to our regular get-together dinners. He will be greatly missed for his kindness, love, devotion to family and his outstanding sports knowledge when we played Trivia.
May you find peace, comfort and strength in the love of those around you and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. And may God have a beer ready when Mike enters the gates of heaven. God bless you all.

Growing up a few doors down from the Malias, Mike was the kind of warm, reliable person that every neighborhood needs. I know I benefited from his solid presence, warmth, and readiness to lend a hand or kind word. My heart goes out to Jeannie, their daughters, and all those closest to him in this time of loss.

To Mike´s family:
I was stunned Sunday when Mike´s wife called to give me the terrible news.
I had been thinking about Mike for quite a while,& kick myself for not calling.
Mike was a very decent human being,& a darn good hoseman with the Phila. Fire Department.
Mike had more time than I on the job;& we would occasionally work together from being detailed; up until we both worked at Ridge/Cinnaminson station in Roxborough on the same platoon.
He will be truly missed, especially his great smile & laugh. The family should trulyremember that his spirit will always be with you,& Mike; until I see you again on the other side, Rest Eternally my good Friend,
Jack Singer
