Virginia Birt Obituary
Virginia graduated from Wausau High School in 1944 and then went to work for the FBI in Washington DC. She came back to Wausau and was a desk clerk at the new Holiday Inn, a receptionist for Greenheck Fan and worked as a switch board operator for American Can for 19 years. Virginia and Thomas liked traveling in their motor home across the US. They also enjoyed dancing together and were longtime members of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include son Jerome J. (Debra Thorne) Birt, three grandsons Phillip (Meghan), Ted (Carrie), and Xander, great grandchildren Ottava, Lincoln, Evelyn, Coen, and Macklin, sister Carol (Richard) Gerht
She was preceded in death by her husband, sisters, Gladys Morgan and Hazel Jehn and brother James Eshenbach.
Helke Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
