Michael McCray Jr.

Michael McCray, Jr, 60, born in Beacon, NY on August 30, 1965. Michael came to rest on December 21, 2025 in his home in Boiling Springs, SC surrounded by his loving family. Michael was survived by his mother and father, Michael McCray, Sr, and Catherine Ann McCray of Boiling Springs, SC. His three children, Michael Darrell McCray of Cleveland, OH, Kreetasha Johnson of Poughkeepsie, NY, and Kaprice Nachelle McCray of Wappingers Falls, NY. He is also survived by two sisters, Mereredith Montanez of Spartanburg, SC and Mira McCray of Walden, NY. Michael has eight grandchildren, and one nephew, Fidel Elijah Montanez, Sr of Spartanburg, SC, and a host of cousins and friends

Michael graduated from Beacon High School, 1983 in Beacon, NY and attended East Stroudsbough University in East Stroudsbough, PA on a basketball scholarship. He later graduated from the National Aviation Academy, Clearwater, FL in 2011 in Aviation Mechanics.

Michael was an avid mechanic, who was taught by his grandfather and father. and who was often called upon by friends for his knowledge of mechanics.

Those who knew Mike will remember him for his infectious smile and overwhelming laugh, his deep love of Sport and Hip Hop music. Mike has an unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone he encountered. He had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh laving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.

Although Michael's physical precsence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth his legacy of love and compassion in all we do. As you continue to Rest in Peace up there, dear Michael, your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.

The family will receive friends and famliy at the E. L. Collins Funeral Home at 3120 S. Church Street Ext, Spartanburg, SC 29306 on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 2-4. Repast will beheld at 215 Amber Sky Drive, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
