Michael Wayne McDonald

Michael Wayne McDonald, age 71, of Lockesburg, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, December 26, 2025. He was born on December 23, 1954, in Texarkana, Arkansas, to the late Aubrey Benjamin McDonald and, Dorothy Nell Neiman McDonald Porterfield and L.D. Porterfield, step-father.
Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was good at playing cards, dominoes, and pitching horseshoes. He loved his family and friends and was a Christian. He never met a stranger and always helped anyone in need.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his baby brother, Billy Joe Porterfield, his big brothers, Bobby Porterfield and Don Porterfield, and one sister, Kay Basham.
Survivors include his sisters, Linda Meredith (KC), Wanda Cox (Ricky), Jean Ryan (Edward), and Shirley Edwards (Shane); his brother, David Porterfield (Mandy); his sister-in-law, Kathy Porterfield; his nieces and nephews. Jonathan, Brian (Tracie), Tami, Shane, Amber, Sarah, Ashley (Kevin), Christy (Juan), Christopher, Whitney (Koty), Bobby Devon, Amanda Lynne, Angie, Melissa, Amanda S., Tonya, Dedra, Donya, Detra, and Jeremy. A number of great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen, Arkansas, with Rev. Pamela Estes officiating. Burial will follow in Oddfellows Cemetery in Lockesburg.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 30th at the funeral home.
