Michael L. McKnight, 76, of Washington, Indiana, passed away at his residence on August 12, 2025. He was born on January 5, 1949, to the late Bill and Cleo (Walker) McKnight in Harewood, West Virginia.

Mike attended Cedar Grove High School in West Virginia and was a member of the 1966 graduating class. After graduation, Mike went to work for RC Cola. He worked for RC for several years before hiring on with PepsiCo. During his tenure with PepsiCo, Mike relocated to Indiana. He dedicated himself for over 25 years and retired as General Manager. After his retirement, he began working at Hersch’s IGA, Hanks, and Hometown IGA in Washington. This is where he met the love of his life, Judy McKnight, and they spent over 28 years together.

He was a proud member of Bethany Christian Church in Washington. Mike was also a member of the Jaycees in Vincennes, Vincennes #1 Masonic Lodge F&AM, Knox County Shriners Club, and the Bicknell Golf Course Board. He was a proud United States Veteran and served his country in the National Guard for six years. Mike loved his family and friends and held them dearly to his heart. He loved to spend time with children and tease them, particularly his grandchildren and his special great nieces and nephews. Time shared with family often brought out Mikes humor, whether he was with his children, his grandchildren, or his beloved great-nieces and nephews. His infectious laugh, smile, and wit will always be remembered by those who loved him.

Mike is survived by his wife, Judy McKnight of Washington; his children, Tara (McKnight) Workman and her husband Dan of Bloomington, IN, Travis McKnight and his wife Jessica of Bedford, IN, Matthew Inman and his fiancée Lacie Miller of Washington, IN, and Sarah Inman of Evansville, IN; his siblings, Larry McKnight and his wife Darlene of West Virginia, and Pam Hudnall of West Virginia; his grandchildren, Kaylee McKnight, Mia Domino, Logan Workman, Drew Workman, Shay Hawk, and Tycen Hawk; and several special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Cleo; his siblings, Sue Dickinson, and Becky Wagner; and his brother-in-law, Chuck Hudnall.

Visitation for Mike will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 3:00-7:00pm ET at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home 2020 State St., Washington, IN 47501. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 11:00am ET at Goodwin-Sievers with Pastors Matt Merold and Tom Watson officiating.
