Michael J. McLacken, 69, of Cumberland, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Hope Health in Providence. He was the husband of Susan (Mummery) McLacken, and they had been married for the past 20 years.
He was the son of the late William and Jame (McMullen) McLacken. He had resided in Cumberland for most of his life.
Mr. McLacken worked in sales for many years and was also a long-time bartender at the Cumberland Athletic Club on Hamilton Street in Cumberland.
He enjoyed gardening, traveling, sports, and trying different restaurants, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family-especially his beloved grandchildren. He was a dedicated and passionate New York Giants and Boston Red Sox fan.
In addition to his beloved wife, Susan, he leaves his daughter, Kerrin Cornell, and her husband, Wayne, of North Smithfield; his step-daughter, Jennifer McDonald, of Lincoln; his step-son, Ryan McDonald, and his wife, Ruth, of Duluth, GA; and his six grandchildren, Mateo, Aiden, Ethan, Chloe, Noah, and Holden.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Michael's Life Celebration, with visitation on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 4 to 8 PM, and continuing on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 10 AM at the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A prayer service will follow at 11 AM in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Hotel for Homeless Dogs, 44 Martin St., Cumberland, RI 02864.
