Michael Perry Meador passed into the waiting arms of his Savior on May 22, 2023 at his home in Pearland. Mike was born on July 14, 1944 in Beeville, Texas. He graduated in 1962 from Buena Vista High School in Imperial, Texas and soon enlisted in the U.S Navy. He was stationed in Charleston, S.C. and served aboard the Destroyer USS Sarsfield. After discharge, he attended Odessa College and Texas Tech University. He and his loving wife Lynette (Eschenburg) Meador, were married on May 28,1983.
His career always involved sales and later retired from oilfield sales. Although he did not attend Texas A&M, he and Lynette were huge Aggie fans carrying on the
tradition of Mike's father-in-law, Elwood Eschenburg who graduated from A&M in 1936. Mike was an avid fisherman, loved to fish on the coast and play golf and
could be seen at Clear Creek Golf Course many days during the week.
He is predeceased by his parents James William Meador and Helen Tate Meador of Imperial Texas. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, sister Nancy Strand,
niece Susan Taylor, nephews Steve Taylor and Robert Taylor, all of Friendswood, sisters-in-law Susan Eschenburg of Austin and Kathryn Peterson of Kearney,
Nebraska, and many cousins, nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral Service will be held 2:15 PM Thursday; June 15, 2023 at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans at DAV.org or the charity of your choice.

I was so shocked and sad to hear of Mike´s passing. Lynette, it is now two years since Dorothy my wife of 60 years has passed and our lives have changed forever. But just know that we can look forward to seeing Mike and Dorothy in our eternal home. That is what has helped me carry on. Love Jim
