Jeremy Paul Reichert, 46, of Houston, Texas, unexpectedly passed away on August 14, 2025.

Jeremy was born to Jeffery and Pamela Reichert on October 2, 1978, at RAF Laken heath in England. While he traveled to many countries, he was ultimately raised in Bury St. Edmunds, England, alongside his two sisters, Julie Salisbury and Jaime Reichert. Growing up in a small town, Jeremy was an avid sports fan, especially fond of football ("soccer"), playing on several local teams with his best mates. A natural leader and a source of laughter and joy, Jeremy's piercing blue eyes and warm smile were constant highlights of his presence.

In 2002, Jeremy moved to the United States to pursue new adventures and joined family in Houston, Texas. Jeremy dedicated 22 years of his life to Rice University, becoming a familiar and friendly face to nearly everyone on campus. His warm smile and unmistakable accent were as much a part of Mudd Hall as the building itself. Jeremy poured his heart and expertise into building and shaping the university's wireless network, taking immense pride in the connections, he built. His full commitment and dedication ensured the best outcomes for the university and his colleagues, leaving a lasting legacy woven into Rice's daily life.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jeremy was a devoted husband of 14 years to Jennifer and a loving father to his three sons: Hunter (17), Hayden (10), and Easton (6). An enthusiastic "baseball dad," he never missed a game and cheered his boys on with endless support. His love for his family was evident in everything he did. Jeremy shared his passion for sports and the outdoors with his children, enjoying watching games, being outside, and exploring nature together. He cherished completing home projects and working in his yard, never shying away from any task.

Jeremy also cared deeply for his extended family and friends, always willing to lend a helping hand and brighten any room with his presence. His sudden passing has left a tremendous void in the lives of those who knew him. Jeremy will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kindness, dedication, and the love he shared with those around him.

He is survived by his father, Jeffery Reichert; his wife, Jennifer Reichert; his children, Hunter, Hayden, and Easton; his sisters, Julie Salisbury and husband Lee, Jaime Reichert, and brother, Brandon Reichert and wife Misti Reichert; along with Aunt Kris Jachim, Uncle Ray Jachim, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Jeremy was preceded in death by his mother, Pamela Jean Keeler.

A Celebration of Life honoring Jeremy will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Deer Park Funeral Directors, 336 E. San Augustine St., Deer Park, Texas.
