Vivian C. Reichert, born February 11, 1940, in East St. Louis, IL, only daughter of John Henry and Helen Ann (nee Matejka) Nevenner. She attended St. Philip grade school in East St. Louis and graduated from St. Theresa’s Academy in East St. Louis.
On August 8, 1959, she married the love of her life, Kenneth Reichert, at St. Philip Catholic Church in East St. Louis, IL. Their marriage lasted for 65 years and produced three beautiful children, Gregg Reichert, Linda Reichert, Wayne Reichert.
Vivian inherited her mother’s god given gift of beauty and decorating. In 1969 she joined Home Interiors & Gifts, a leading home decorating company. She established their presence in this area and rapidly rose through the ranks and became a branch manager for over 30 years.
Her primary focus was her family whom she loved dearly. She was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, always remembering her loved one’s birthdays and anniversaries. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her parents John Henry and Helen Ann Nevenner; grandson, Luke Reichert; brother, Vernon Nevenner; nephew, Dennis Nevenner; niece, Dorthea “Dotty” Nevenner.
Vivian is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Reichert; children, Gregg (Paloma) Reichert, Linda (Jon Hansen) Reichert, Wayne (Lori) Reichert; grandchildren, Kevin, Rachel, Sonia, Issac, Jacob, Noah; great-grandchildren, Alaric, Shea, Jonathan; niece, Debbie Nevenner, Donald Nevenner.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or William M. BeDell ARC.
Funeral Mass: Tuesday, July 15, 2025, 11:00 AM, Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, IL.
Clergy: Fr. Michael Haag
Interment: Lakeview Memorial Gardens
