Michael Mendiola, known for his love and dedication to his family and friends, filled the lives of those around him with joy and love. Born on August 3, 1971, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Michael's journey came to a peaceful close on June 21, 2024, in Belton, Missouri.
Throughout his life, Michael cherished moments with his loved ones, especially reminiscing about playing Mexican bingo and various games with them. His generous and loving nature was evident in everything he did - from time cruising and dancing with friends to indulging in his passion for cooking and creating delectable dishes. He also had a great enthusiasm for planning and dressing up for Halloween and enjoying scary movies.
In the realm of education, Michael completed high school and pursued higher learning at college. His commitment to learning reflected his desire for personal growth and development. However, it was his essence as a kind-hearted individual with an immense capacity to give that truly defined him. Those who knew him best will always remember him as someone with a big heart and a warm spirit.
Michael is survived by his loving parents Pedro and Celia Mendiola, sister Melissa Mendiola, brother-in-law Adam Arnold, and a host of cousins and friends. In eternal rest, he joins his beloved grandparents Catarino & Andrea Montes and Jose & Hortencia Mendiola, as well as his cousin Debbie. Together now in peace, they carry forward the memory of a soul who touched many lives.
A visitation service to honor Michael's life will be held on June 25th, 2024, at Longview Funeral Home in Kansas City. The gathering will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. It is an opportunity for all who know Michael to come together, share stories of his impact, and find solace in each other's presence. Michael’s final resting place will be next to his paternal grandparents in Robstown, Texas.
