Mick was born January 13, 1953, in Piketon, Ohio, the son of the late Carl Ray Dyer, and Elizabeth Ann (Armstrong) Bangle.
He is survived by a daughter, Leslie (Mitchell) Burkitt; a son, Derek Dyer; two grandchildren, Isabella "Bella" Burkitt and Damien Burkitt; and nephews, Christopher Burke, and Tony (Kris) Burke.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Saundra Tossey; and his maternal grandmother, Rhuia Mae (Tackett) Armstrong.
Mick worked as an electrician and boiler operator, working for Perry Electric. He loved to hunt, fish, play chess, and paintball. He was a football fan, rooting for the Cleveland Browns; and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.
The family will receive friends 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial donations be made to the funeral home to help with the expenses of a monument and memorial keepsakes. Arrangements are under the care of Boyer Cremation Services.
