Michael J. Mihalko

Michael J. Mihalko 78, of the Holiday City Berkeley section of Berkeley Township died on Thursday January 11, 2024. Born in Passaic, NJ he lived in Clifton and in Freehold before moving to Holiday City 4 years ago. He was a Teamster working as a Truck Driver for Supor & Son in Harrison, NJ. Michael then became a Real Estate Appraiser and Owner with his wife of Paterno Real Estate in Clifton, NJ. He was a parishioner of St Rose RCC in Freehold, NJ and later of St Maximilian Kolbe RCC, Berkeley Twsp. He is survived by his loving wife Mary (Paterno) and his two children Michael and Marc. There will be a viewing for Michael on Monday January 15, 2024 from 10 to 11:30am at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St Catherine Blvd. Toms River, NJ. The Funeral Mass will follow at 12 noon at St Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twsp. Entombment will be at St Gabriel's Cemetery in Marlboro, NJ. Michael was, is and always will be my best friend, my love and companion. He was a good man who had a rough childhood, challenging adolescence, but miraculously developed into a wonderful man. He became a truck driver, not to drive a truck, but to enjoy the freedom it gave him to explore the country. He enjoyed every minute of it until he retired and joined the world of Real Estate.
We did as much as we could together - we worked, laughed, danced and supported each other in every way. He was a great dancer, by the way, which is how we met and became a team. He was a good father to his two sons and a blessing to his brother and father in their time of need.
I can go on and on about our 40 years of marriage and how we loved each other and all of our family and friends who helped make our lives full, but I will stop with: Michael, I Iove you forever be at peace..until we meet again my dear, be well.
