Michael "Mike" W. Booher, age 72 of Dayton, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2025. He was born August 4, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio son of the late Billy Jack and Mary Louise (Wittman) Booher.
Mike was a devoted husband, loving brother, uncle, Godfather, and friend. He was passionate about drag racing and loved to participate and watch, often jumping in and helping where needed. Known as "Ohio Mike" in drag racing. He was a Buick V-6 guy who could do the impossible. Mike loved a challenge and had to prove you wrong any chance he could. He liked making bets, winning or sometimes losing, showing his special Mr. Booher grin.
He was employed with Tech Metals and loved going to work every day. Due to Mikes love for America, every day at noon him and his coworkers would stop what they were doing when the National Anthem came on, standing at attention and placing their hand over their heart to show patriotism to our Country.
Mike enjoyed celebrating his anniversary with his wife by traveling to Gatlinburg every year and going to Fort Myers Beach for several weeks at a time.
He leaves behind a devoted wife of 20 years, Lynda Booher; brother, Tim (Teri) Booher; nephews, Justin and Brandon Booher; niece, Brooke Musick; Godsons, Logan Maginnis and Cayden Barnett; as well as numerous other cherished family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 5-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 10am also at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery.
