Michael “Mike” Earl Sledge age 63 of College Grove, TN passed away January 2, 2025. Mike was born and raised in Williamson County and graduated from Page High School in 1979. Mike has always had a passion for rodeo and riding bulls. He was a master carpenter and could build anything.
Mike is survived by his loving mother, Linda Sledge King of College Grove; sons, Blaze Sledge of the Big Sandy Community and Tyler “PeeWee” Sledge of College Grove; grandson, Caden Sledge; sisters, Lisa (Lowell) Burke of Chapel Hill, Tammy (Miller Culberson) Sledge Bowling of College Grove and Penny (Eddie) Barnes of Chapel Hill; special friend, Sara Rippy and many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Earl Sledge; grandparents, Clifton and Lorene Sledge and Robert (Jidas) and Virginia Mayfield.
Visitation with the Sledge family will be held 4-8:00PM Monday and one hour prior to the service Tuesday. Funeral services will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Lawrence Funeral Home, Ward Jones officiating. Burial will follow at College Grove Cemetery. Troy Smithson, Jerry Taylor, Will Burke, Cody Burke, Carl Bowling, John Bowling, Trey Barnes and Caden Sledge to serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Miller Culberson, Eddie Barnes, Clifton “Greasy” Ladd, Sammy Smithson and Lowell Burke . In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Special Olympics Tribute Giving.
