Michael Mitchell

Michael Lawrence Mitchell, 59 passed away on March 22, 2024, at Northwest Hospital. He was born in Baltimore on February 11, 1965. He was the beloved youngest of the late Kathleen Fallon Mitchell and James H. Mitchell, Jr.'s six children. Michael's father passed away from cancer in January,1967. Kathleen remarried the late William H. Zeidler, Michael's loving second father.
Michael will be greatly missed by his family members as well as his Chimes family, who provided dedicated, compassionate care for Michael in one of their group homes in Pikesville for over three decades. Michael's gentle, easygoing nature was endearing, and he touched endless lives. Michael enjoyed playing with puzzles, listening to music, Burger King and popcorn.
Michael is survived by 10 loving siblings: William H. Zeidler, Jr. (Pat), Sallie Grandi (Charlie), Barbara Kimmitt (Steve), Stacey Kuzma (Paul), Megan Jacob (Tom), Molly Mitchell (Vinny), James H. Mitchell III (Laura), John Zeidler (Amy), Mary Pat Gruschow (Bob) and Joseph Zeidler (Shannon), as well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic church, 6950 Dogwood Road, Windsor Mill, MD 21244 at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6th. Afterwards Michael will be interred at the New Cathedral cemetery, 4300 Old Frederick Road, Baltimore, MD 21229.
