Michael D. Mitchell Sr.

Michael Devon Mitchell Sr. was born April 11, 1977 (48). He passed away peacefully in his home on May 25, 2025.
Michael was a wonderful man, dad, brother, grandfather, cousin and uncle. Michael was a hard-working man, giving over 15 years to Kidz Kompany, who he grew to love and gained a family all in one. Mike then went and dedicated 5 years to Healthwin Rehab Facility, were just in 5 months he was given a new position as the head cook. Mike loved working, he also put his heart and soul into everything that he did.
Mike loved sports a lot. His favorite teams were the Los Angles Lakers and the Los Angles Rams. He was known for keeping the peace. Mike loved all his nieces and nephews and made sure to keep in contact with them.
Mike is survived by his fiancé of 14 years Courtney Jennings, whom he truly adored and love. His father James Mitchell Sr. He also is leaving behind 8 children: Michael Jr, Davin, Me'kel, Malique, Marcus, Taraeja, Cortez, and Emon. 7 grandchildren: Michael, Mason, Malakai, Major, Kyree, Malani Skye and Baby Myheir. His God daughter Diva and his favorite cousin Billy Mitchel Jr. His siblings Theresa (Josh) Jeapatar, Richard Mitchell, Carlos Mitchell, Tinisha Mitchell, Angela Smith and Issac (LeeAnne) Mitchell. Proceeding Mike in death is his mother Patricia Mitchell, brother James Jay Mitchell his maternal and paternal grand parents and his favorite Uncle Billy Mitchell Sr.
Mike will truly be missed. Continue to keep his children uplifted in this time.

Funeral Services for Michael will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 05, 2025, at Christian Life Center, 1717 N. Hickory Rd. South Bend, IN 46635. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services.
