Michael Edward Moriarty

Michael Edward Moriarty, age 83. Thursday July 14, 2022. Graduate of Aquinas College High School and attended The Ohio State University and Capital University. Mike was a retired Real Estate Broker from Wendy's. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Shamrock Club of Columbus. Served as the youngest ever President of the Shamrock Club in 1968. He was The Shamrock Club Irishman of the Year in 1992 and The Parade Grand Marshal in 1997. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. He was preceded in death by parents Edward and Catherine Birch Moriarty and brother James Patrick Moriarty. Survived by wife of over 55 years Patricia Moore Moriarty; children Dennis (Michele), Tricia, Michael (Catherine), Patrick (Jodie), Molly (Mark) McCanney, and Brian Moriarty; Papa to his grandchildren Caitlin, Patrick, Colin, Connor, Ryan, Sean, Olivia, Kevin, Corey, Mary Kate, Bridget, Alec, Mallory, Casey, Liam, Addison and Brennan; sisters Patricia Hinton, Catherine Gallihue and Annie Brennan; brothers Edward (Mary Kay) and John; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call Monday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. BROAD ST. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday 10:00 am at St. Catharine Church, 500 S. Gould Rd. Private burial later at St. Joseph Cemetery. A reception will be held after Mass at the Shamrock Club. Friends who wish may contribute in Mike's memory to the Shamrock Club of Columbus.
