Michael Morris Obituary
Mike was born October 16, 1953, in Woodstock, IL, the son of Ermal and Sue Morris. He was a 1971 graduate of Nowata High School, Nowata, OK. He was united in marriage to Virginia Hutton on June 2, 1972, in Nowata, OK. Mike was pastor at Caney Assembly of God for 37 years and was very passionate about serving others. His greatest love was his family.
Mike is survived by two sons: Matt Morris and wife Tally, Springfield, MO, and Andrew Morris and wife Allison, Bixby, OK; one son by choice: Kyle McIntosh and wife Karie, Wichita, KS; seven grandchildren: Avery, Luke, William, Peyton, Addison, Jake, and Owen; two brothers: Ken Morris and wife Sue, Tunas, MO, and Ermal "Bud" Morris Jr. and wife Gail, Watson, OK; one sister: Pam Wilson of Dearing, KS; sister by choice: Cathy Ketcher and husband Sam, Ozark, MO; and a host of family and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his beloved wife Virginia, and parents, Ermal and Sue Morris.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m., Saturday, December 18, 2021, at North Point Church, Springfield Campus. A celebration of Mike's life will be held Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 12 p.m. at North Point Church, Springfield Campus, with burial to follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Willard, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mike's name to the Springfield Dream Center. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.

My prayers go out to the whole family. Mike was not only our pastor growing up, but he and Virginia were our best friends. I am eternally grateful for everything they sowed into our lives. He and Glen have some catching up to do in heaven!
