Michael Mourhess Obituary

Born on January 11, 1946 in Corning, NY, he was the son of the late Harry C. and Sylvia (Erickson) Mourhess. Michael was a graduate of Corning East High School and SUNY Fredonia. He married Roxanne Lee on December 28, 1968. Michael worked as a teacher for the Elmira City School District.
Michael will be remembered for his love of sports - especially the New York Yankees. He also enjoyed spending time at Keuka Lake.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Roxanne Mourhess of Campbell; daughter, Alexis (Brian) Helfrich of Fort Mill, SC; grandchildren: Evan and Olivia Helfrich; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Michael was predeceased by his son, Geoffrey Mourhess.
Family and friends are invited to visitation on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Phillips Funeral Home, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning, NY.
