Michael Thomas Mullen of Cuba, Missouri, was born on March 23rd, 1946, in Cuba, Missouri, to Henry J. Mullen & Florence A. (Walden) Mullen and passed away on October 31st, 2023, at the age of 77.
Mike began his school years at Oak Grove School, then to Sunnyside, then back to Oak Grove, then to the present-day Cuba High School where he graduated in 1964.
In 1966 Mike was drafted into the United States Army and he served his two years in Germany. He was discharged with the rank of Sargent E-5.
After serving in the Army, Mike went back into construction.
In 1969 Mike married Linda Summers, they had two daughters who reside in Cuba.
In 1982 Mike married a wonderful woman with two small sons. They moved to Montgomery County, on a small farm where they lived for twenty-seven years.
Mike retired from Fulton State Hospital, after retiring they moved back to Cuba.
Mike loved the outdoors, deer hunting, playing baseball and softball. Mike loved his family, and enjoyed being with friends and old classmates.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Joseph Mullen and Florence A. Mullen, siblings, Nancy Mullen, Cliff Mullen, Russ Mullen, Pat Mullen, Mabel Martin, Delbert Mullen and Joe Mullen.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Ann Mullen of Cuba, two daughters, Stephanie Wilkerson and husband Ernie of Cuba and Shelley Mullen of Cuba, twostepsons, Dennis Giardina and wife Beth of Cave Creek, AZ and Drew Giardina and wife Kate of Phoenix, AZ, siblings Shirley Parker of Aberdeen, Washington, Estell Imes, of Winthrop, Washington, Caroline Glaese of Cuba and Phil Mullen and wife Linda of Cuba, sisters in-law, JoAnn Mullen and Nancy (Mullen) Staples, Four grandchildren Kaylynn Wilkerson of Cuba, Chelsea Sheley of Texas, Shayla Davila of Cuba and Jack McLemore of Cuba, great-grandchildren Zariah and Zai' Kiem, five step grandchildren, Christian Giardina, and Cole Giardina, Cave Creek, Arizona, Kaeleen Giardina and Teagan Giardina, Phoenix, AZ and Kaleb "Gunner" Wilkerson and wife Emily of Sullivan, nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends
Memorial Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12 Noon on Saturday, November 11th, 2023, at Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri. A Memorial Service will follow at 12 Noon with inurnment to follow at Lick Creek Cemetery also in Cuba, Missouri.
Memorial donations are appreciated to Lick Creek Cemetery or Mid-Ozark CASA.
