Michael Thomas Murray, 61, of Breezy Point, MN passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025 in Brainerd, MN.
Michael lived a life filled with charisma, sass, devotion, humor, and love. Mike graduated from St. John’s University and built a career in sales, touching the lives of many in his work through his sarcasm and wit.
Mike enjoyed spending time on his deck with a cigar and bourbon, putt putting around Pelican Lake, spending time with his family, and golfing on the local courses. Mike was known for making friends with anyone he met, especially when hanging out at the beach.
Mike is survived by his wife of 35 years Stephanie (Blaeser) Murray, son Sean Murray (Delaney), daughter Caitlin Heen (Christopher), and grandson David, and soon to be second grandchild. Mike is also survived by his siblings; Natalie Rumble (Dave), Jim Murray (Laura) and John Murray (Toni) and many nieces and nephews. Mike is also survived by his dog Bailey and his most cherished favorite cat Trixie. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Barbara Murray. Mike will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A visitation will be held on Monday January 27th at Brenny Funeral Home of Crosslake from 4:00pm- 7:00pm. The funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday January 28th at Immaculate Heart Catholic Church of Crosslake at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior to Mass. Luncheon afterwards at the church. The burial will be held following the luncheon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bridges of Hope or charity of choice in Mikes memory. A quote from Mike “ Steph, we’re late”.
