I worked with Michael at Gold Kist. He was always helpful and collegial. It was a pleasure to know and work with him.

Dear Ellen and Gabi, I am so sorry to hear this news. I had no idea that Michael was even sick, so I was shocked to see that he passed. My sweetest memory of Michael is when we were neighbors and, since I was a single mom, things broke all the time and I couldn´t fix them. I called Michael for advice-like at 8 am-and he said he would come right over. I said he didn´t need to do that, and he said he was waiting for his coffee to cool anyway. That always stuck with me because obviously his coffee would have been ice cold when he got back home. He was just that thoughtful. I am thinking of you two. May his memory be a blessing.

I first met Michael through a mutual friend. Michael and his beloved wife Ellen were a wonderful couple. Michael was quiet and yet so funny. He was a devoted husband to Ellen and father to Gabi. I respected Michael for his intelligence and loyalty. He was very loved.
