Michael Anthony Neumann (age 24) passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. Michael was preceded in death by his adenoids and family pets Shalimar and Oliver.
Michael’s birth was celebrated in May 1996 by his parents Ken and Nancy (Moss) Neumann and his sister Shannon (Brett Garner). Unfortunately, his eldest sister, Marissa (Matt King), was yet again disappointed by the arrival of another brother and his older brother, Jared, suffered the bump into “middle child status”. However, Michael quickly redeemed himself and was doted over as the baby of the family well into adulthood. He is deeply loved by his family, even though he knew exactly how to push everyone’s buttons. He suckered us all with his charming half smile and a quick “I love you” into getting almost anything he wanted. His nephews (Leo, Cohen, Micah and Miles) adored Michael since he helped expand their knowledge of Super Mario Bros. and Pokémon. They always looked forward to “silly Uncle Mike” coming for a visit or him showing them the dogs while Facetiming. Michael was especially close to his older brother, Jared, and even from a young age would want to do everything he did. With similar interests and the same circle of friends it was rare not to find them together. They were the best of friends and worst of enemies, although blood was only drawn a handful of times.
Michael loved animals and had a special connection with the family dogs Shalimar, Oliver, Izzy and Ellie. Michael was bright and smart with a love for gaming. How he didn’t have carpal tunnel we will never know. He was quick-witted and creative and appreciated a good chocolate milk. Michael found joy in helping others and thrived in his work as a member services technician for Health Equity. He loved his work and enjoyed talking to people from all over the country and making them laugh. He was always upbeat and actively offering solutions for what his customers needed. He was kind and had a strong work ethic that his family was proud of.
Michael will be missed terribly. His family has decided to forego a large service at this time and asks that everyone who remembers Michael to celebrate his life by doing an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for another.
