Michael D. Perlich, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on November 30, 2025, in Madison, Indiana. Born on April 25, 1958, in LaPorte, Indiana, Michael's journey through life was marked by kindness, generosity, and a deep love for his family and friends.
Michael dedicated the majority of his professional career to serving the community through his roles at Central Indiana Schools Federal Credit Union in Indianapolis, followed by FORUM Credit Union in Fishers.
A proud alumnus of Ball State University, Michael earned a bachelor's degree in 1980. He was known for his infectious laughter and ability to make those around him feel at ease, a testament to his kind and generous nature.
Outside of work, Michael treasured moments spent with his family, often enjoying evenings gathered around the fire on the deck. He had a passion for travel, frequently exploring new places with his loving wife, Gwynn. Among his many interests were fishing, working in his yard, and spending time outdoors. Michael appreciated a good cold beer and had a keen interest in learning German. In quieter moments, he found joy in reading and photography, hobbies that showcased his creative spirit.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Gwynn Perlich; his children, Nicholas Perlich, Anna Larrison, and their spouses, Amy Perlich and John Larrison; and his cherished grandchildren, Lucy Perlich, Wyatt Perlich, and Owen Larrison. He also leaves behind his cousin Jill Whitworth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyal Perlich and Marilyn Perlich, whose memories continue to guide and inspire his family.
Family and friends may gather to celebrate Michael's life during viewings at Flanner Buchanan in Zionsville, Indiana, on December 8, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and again on December 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
