Michael Perrone Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by St. John's Family Funeral Home & Crematory on Dec. 4, 2025.
Michael Perrone passed away on November 30, 2025, surrounded by those he loved. Born on the Fourth of July, Michael carried a deep sense of pride in being an American.

Born to Biaggio V. Perrone and Lucy B. (Garro) Perrone, Michael was raised in a close-knit family that shaped his values of hard work, loyalty, and generosity. A graduate of Wolcott High School, Class of 1967, he went on to earn a small business degree from Post College. He built a remarkable career in sales, distinguished by natural charisma, determination, and a genuine interest in people. He earned awards for his achievements with Jack Savelle Chrysler Plymouth and John J. Collins Inc., and later became an award-winning insurance salesman during his 35-year career with Allstate Insurance Company. After retirement, he continued to lead and serve, working as General Manager of Bosco Dodge in Naugatuck, Connecticut.

Michael believed deeply in giving back. He was a 20-year member of the Lion's Club of Wolcott, Connecticut, and gave generously to The U.S.O., Tunnels to Towers, and the Florida Sheriffs Department. His contributions reflected not only his patriotism, but also his commitment to helping those who serve others.

A longtime resident of Wolcott, Michael retired to the warm sunshine of Palm Coast, Florida, in 2007. He embraced life with passion and enthusiasm, enjoying travel, playing poker with friends and in tournaments, and riding his Harley-Davidson. He cherished time spent with family and found comfort in working on home projects with his girlfriend, Elaine.

Michael was a lifelong car enthusiast. He collected model classic cars, attended car shows, and raced his 1988 Chevy Corvette on the drag strips of Lebanon Speedway and Stafford Motor Speedway. He took particular pride in restoring his 1973 Chrysler Imperial.

His hobbies reflected his fun-loving spirit. He enjoyed playing pool, Scrabble, and Jeopardy and was a talented guitarist known for his heartfelt renditions of "House of the Rising Sun," "Gloria," and "Mustang Sally."

An avid football and NASCAR enthusiast, Michael was a diehard Raiders fan and attended many Super Bowl games throughout his life. A graduate of Dale Carnegie and Toastmasters International, Michael was a gifted public speaker who loved sharing stories, connecting with people, and inspiring laughter. He even fulfilled a lifelong dream by performing an original stand-up routine at the Comedy Zone in Jacksonville, Florida.

Michael found true joy in supporting his daughter, Stacy Perrone-Petta, in her singing and pageant endeavors, and his grandson, Nico Vinicio Petta, in lacrosse. He is also survived by his sisters, Susan (Stanley), Mary (Milton), Jeanne, and Nancy (Mark); uncle, Tony Perrone of Thomaston, CT and his son-in-law, Vincent Petta, of Palm Coast, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Michael V. and Mary (Sileo) Perrone and Carmelo and Susan (Calvo) Garro; cherished uncles Donato Perrone, Louis Perrone, and Angelo Perrone; and aunt Lena DiCristofaro.

Michael was a natural teacher who delighted in sharing practical wisdom, positive affirmations, and his personal motto: "EIEBBB - Everyday in Every Way, Better, Better, Better," a reminder to live with perseverance, optimism, and growth. Above all, he remained eternally grateful for the love and kindness shown to him by Mom Savoir.

Michael's legacy is one of generosity, humor, loyalty, and zest for life. He will be remembered for his leadership, his enthusiasm, and his ability to bring joy to others.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to:

The U.S.O., P.O. Box 96860, Washington, DC 20077-7677

Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306
