Michael Pope Obituary
Benson, NC: Mr. Michael Jerome Pope, age 51, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM-Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Sansom Community Church 2896 Arrowhead Road, Dunn, NC 28334. Rev. Steven Tart will officiate. Burial will follow in Erwin Memorial Park Cemetery in Erwin, NC.
Michael was born on September 18, 1971 in Harnett County, NC to Rev. Jerome and Ann Lucas Pope. He was the owner and operator of Mike’s Cabinet Shop and Small Engine Repair. Michael was a member of Sansom Community Church in Dunn, NC. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved to hunt, and loved spending time with his family.
Survivors in addition to his parents, include his wife of 15 years, Kelly Pearman Pope; daughters, Lauren Suzanne Pope and Jaylen Grace Christensen; sister, Sonya P. Gurkin and husband, Brian; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jay and Judy Pearman; brother-in-law, Travis Pearman; many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:00PM-1:45PM-Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Sansom Community Church in Dunn, NC, and other times at the home.
The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Sansom Community Church PO Box 97, Dunn, NC, 28335.
