Michael John Prevost, age 58, of Pendleton, Indiana, formerly of Rochester, New York, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025, surrounded by his beloved children, family, and friends.
Born in Rochester, NY, Michael was the cherished son of the late Stanley Hall and Mary Ellen Prevost (née Ashton). He graduated from Arcadia High School and went on to build a successful career in the food distribution industry. He served as Plant Manager and most recently, Buyer-Manager for Boar’s Head Provisions in New Castle, Indiana. He worked with dedication from 2003 until 2025. Prior to that, he was a shipping manager at Empire Beef in Rochester, NY.
Michael had a magnetic personality and a zest for life that left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He found joy in fishing, camping, taking photographs, and spending time with his closest family and friends. Known for his warm sense of humor and love for socializing, he was always up for a good conversation or a shared laugh at any moment. A passionate sports fan, he followed the Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees, and Boston Celtics.
Above all, Michael was a devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his loving children, Ryan (Jess) Prevost and Lauren (Ryan) Haskins, both of Rochester, NY; his siblings Amy (Ken) Stewart of Mesa, AZ, Debbie (Doug) Peris and Dennis (Sue) Prevost, both of Rochester, NY; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
His legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He lived a life devoted to God and now rests in His eternal peace.
Calling hours will be held at Farrell-Ryan Funeral & Cremation Services in Rochester, NY on Saturday, May 10th, 2025 from 2:00-5:00 pm. Funeral service to be held at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church in Rochester, NY on Monday, May 12th, 2025 at 9:30 am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
