Date of Death: April 11, 2023
Date of Birth: December 2, 1947
Michael E. Pride (Mike) 75, loving husband, dad, grandfather & friend to all, passed away on April 11th with his loving family by his side, at the Hospice House in Auburn.
Born in Lewiston, he was the son of Harold and Bertha Pride. During his early school years, he lived in Greene Maine, and later graduated from Lewiston High School.
He served from 1966 to1969 as a proud Marine and did two of those years in Vietnam. He met the love of his life, Theresa, and they married in 1969. Together they raised their children in Lewiston & Sabattus.
He worked for Miller Industries and later retired in 2000, from Carlton Woolen Mills; giving him time to spend with his family and grandchildren.
He loved to take his family (especially his grandchildren) to Old Orchard Beach to ride the waves, play frisbee and have lunch on the beach! Every day at 2 pm, Mike and Theresa would take their dog Teddy and go for a ride in their convertible. Mike was always happiest with his family and dog, Teddy.
He loved his trips to the area casinos and taking "road trips" to out-of-state casinos with his wife and children. Playing penny machines at 30 cents a game is all he needed to have fun as well as a mandatory stop for coffee along the way! He loved to fish and go boating during Maine Summers with his family.
He is survived by their three sons, David, Robert, and his wife, Joline, Michael and wife, Kirsten. Two daughters; Jackie and Michelle and husband Michael. Grandchildren, David, Tyler, Bobby, Jasmine, Ridge, Heather, Guy and Mariah. Great-grandchildren; Elizabeth, Michael, Henry, Spencer, Evan, Conner, Nathan and Lydia. One sister, Bonnie.
He is predeceased by his parents, Harold and Bertha, His loving wife, Theresa, and his two brothers, David, and Jeff Pride. Two sisters; Elaine Pride and Edith Terenzoni.
A Military Honors Service will be held in his honor at the Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, 143 Blue Star Avenue, Augusta, Maine on Monday, July 10th at 10 am.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Androscoggin Hospice House for the exceptional care they gave our dad.
