Ronald Vanester "Van" Pride, Jr., age 41 of Cleveland passed away on February 16, 2025. He was born September 26, 1983, in Charleston, SC to Ronald V. Pride Sr. and Ellen Pride. He graduated from Willoughby South High School in 2001. After graduation, Van served in the Navy for four years. He was a loving and caring person. He deeply loved his family, children, and cherished his friends. Van had a very inquisitive mind and valued the time spent with his friends. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was honored to be baptized by his father, Deacon Ronald Pride Sr.
Van is survived by his parents, Ronald V. (Zelma) Pride Sr and Ellen Pride; his children, Sylvanna Pride and Kingston Pride; mother of his children; Sylvia Bost; sister, Angel Pride; brother, Nethaniel Nathan; uncle, Harold Pride, II; aunts; Carol Williams, and Renee (Gary) Dunlap; many cousins; stepsiblings, Marte', Tequila, and Quiana Badley.
Van is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harold S. and Lillie Mae Pride, and maternal grandparents, Leo and Etta Johnson.
A memorial visitation will be held on February 28, 2025, from 11:00AM until the Memorial Service at noon at New Hope Baptist Church, 428 W. Jackson St., Painesville, Ohio 44077. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Ronald "Van", please visit our Tree Store.
