Michael Raevis Obituary

Born in Queens, New York, to Edith and William Vlaun, Michael lived a life full of passion, adventure, and love. An avid motorcyclist, he was a proud member of the Polar Bear Motorcycle Club, finding joy in the open road and the camaraderie of fellow riders. He also enjoyed fishing and, above all, spending time with his family, creating countless cherished memories.
Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Mary V. Raevis; his son Matthew Raevis and his wife Angelica, and their children Sophia Rose and Matthew John Raevis, Jr., all of South Amboy, NJ; his son Michael George Raevis and his partner Michele Stark, and his children Devin, Cody, and Shane Raevis, all of Beachwood, NJ; and his half-sister Lisa Schwartz and her husband Jeffrey of Hamilton Square, NJ. He will also be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Michael's life on Monday, August 18, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Aftercare Cremation Service, 241 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy, NJ 08879. Entombment will follow on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens Cemetery, U.S. Route 1 North, Iselin, NJ.
Michael will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, warm heart, and unwavering love for those closest to him.
