Michael Lynn Randolph, born on July 8, 1953, in Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, at the age of 72. He is survived by his loving daughters, Leslie Melton and Lisa Monahan, as well as his cherished grandchildren Alexah Melton, Rosemary Monahan, Maximilian Monahan, and Oliver Monahan. Michael also leaves behind his son-in-law, Jack Monahan, dear family friend, Brian Butler, and his dear nieces and nephews: Corky Randolph, Jeremy Randolph, Cassie Taylor, and Beverly Brown.
Throughout his life, Michael demonstrated a profound love for history, particularly regarding the Civil War and World Wars. An active member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, he enjoyed participating in Civil War reenactments, bringing history to life for those around him. Additionally, Michael had a passion for music, skillfully playing the guitar for many years. His artistic talents were well-known among family and friends, and his exceptional sense of humor brought joy to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He married Rose Aldama in 1979, and together they welcomed their two daughters, Leslie in 1982 and Lisa in 1985. Michael enjoyed a fulfilling career that began in local grocery store meat markets, eventually transitioning into insurance and later focusing on IT. Michael had an affinity for cars and devoted substantial time to caring for his beloved cats, which reflected his gentle spirit and nurturing nature.
A viewing will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro, Texas at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7th, 2026 with a graveside service following at Forest Academy Cemetery in Como, Texas at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and remember Michael's life. His memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
Michael was preceded in death by his brother, James Ronnie Randolph; his father, James E. Randolph, and his mother, Vida (Lile) Thomas.
