William Randolph Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Evergreen Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel on Mar. 4, 2026.
William H. "Bill" Randolph, 88, of Brush Prairie, Washington, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026.

Bill was born on October 7, 1937, in Pueblo, Colorado to Franklin and Magdalene Randolph. In 1949, his family moved to a farm in Ridgefield, Washington, where he learned the value of hard work at a young age, working at Mel & Frank Sawmill. He graduated from Ridgefield High School in 1955, served in the United States Army stationed in Korea, graduated from Portland State University in 1964 and attended the Senior Management Program at Lewis & Clark College. On May 16, 1959, he married the love of his life, Darlene Grosse. Together they built a life centered on family, faith, hard work, and community.

Bill spent 28 years working in middle and upper management for Freightliner Corporation which is now Daimler Trucks North America. He was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and quick sense of humor, leaving a lasting impression with everyone he met.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling, and classic cars. His greatest joy was his wife, children, grandchildren, and the many friends whose lives he touched. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and will be remembered for his kindness and generosity.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Darlene Randolph, sons Mike (Peggy) Randolph, Steve (Colleen) Randolph, daughter Leanne (Dan) Martin; and four grandchildren Graylen, Olivia, Nicholas, and Dane.

A graveside service for family will be held privately. A memorial and celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Bill will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
