Michael J. Recha, 74, Collins, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay, with his family by his side. He was born on September 13, 1948 in Rhinelander, son of the late Frank and Florence (Gauthier) Recha.
Michael served in the US Army from 1968 until 1971. On June 12, 1987 he married Theresa Oehlke in Manitowoc. Mike was employed as a machinist for over 40 years at Tecumseh retiring shortly after the plant closed in 2007. Mike was a simple man who enjoyed being with family and friends. He loved camping and joking around.
Mike is survived by his wife of more than 35 years: Theresa Recha, Collins; 6 children: Missy (Jim) Schultz, Jen (Jon) Braden, Josh (Brenda) Recha, Pat (Fawn) Oehlke, Chris Recha and Brandon Recha; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; two sisters; two brothers; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by one grandson; two great-grandsons; one sister; one brother and two brothers-in-law.
A visitation and celebration of life will be held for Mike on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Lendman Funeral Home and Gathering Center, 4638 Expo Drive, Manitowoc from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM when Military Honors will be conducted. Cremation will occur following services and Michael will be laid to rest at a later date. Expressions of sympathy and memories may be shared with Michaels family by visiting.
