Michael George Riblett has lived in the Charlotte metro area for 42 years. He moved with his wife and two small children in 1982 from Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Converted to Catholicism in 1995. His love for the Lord was instrumental in his life. His love for his family was enduring and unconditional. He had many passions during his lifetime. His greatest passion was spending time with his family. If there was a life lesson to be learned or shared, he eagerly offered his knowledge to everyone. He never met a stranger. He could strike up a conversation and was an empathetic listener.Cooking was an expression of his love. He liked nothing better than whipping up something exquisite to feed his family and friends.He loved playing cards, golfing, deep sea fishing, walks in nature and bowling. He was also an avid concert goer. His greatest form of enjoyment was buying and selling antiques and was a specialist in the era of mid-century modern furnishings.
He was married to Peggy Riblett for 45 years. They met in the Air Force and have been inseparable ever since. Two loving children, Michael J. Riblett (Trina) and Colleen Cole (Charles) and three amazing grandchildren, Gavin Cole, Maysie, Riblett and Skylar Riblett. Two sisters, Frances Harrison and Melissa O’Neill.Predeceased by his parents William Francis Riblett Mary Malinich and sister Georgina Marazz.
Services were held privately by the family.
He will be missed deeply, and his memory will be cherished by many.
