James C. Riblett

James C. Riblett, 81, of Newark, Delaware passed away at Resorts at Chester River Manor in Chestertown, Maryland on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. Born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania on April 22, 1943, he was the son of the late Fred and Kathleen (Olmer) Riblett.
James was a graduate of John Dickinson High School and was employed as an oil refinery equipment operator with the Amoco Refinery in Delaware City, Delaware and the BP Refinery in Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania. He completed his working at the Anna P. Mote Elementary School, where he was responsible for fire safety and facility maintenance.
His wife of 25 years, Rita (Bernardo) Riblett, passed away on September 11, 2008.
James is survived by his daughters, Christine Riblett, Lori Kwiatkowski and husband, Rich; his grandson, Kolt Kwiatkowski; his brother, John Riblett and wife, Patti; his sister-in-law, Janet Riblett and his brother-in-law, Joseph Bush.
In addition to his parents and wife, James was predeceased by his twin brother, Fred Riblett and his sister, Barbara Bush.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Saturday, December 21 from 9:00 – 10:00AM. Funeral services will begin at 10:00AM, immediately followed by interment at Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 500 McKennans Church Road, Wilmington.
