Michael Rich Obituary
SAN DIEGO, Calif. - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Rich, 39, of San Diego, Calif., on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
Left to honor his memory are his cherished daughter, Charlotte; parents, Michael and Bernadette; sisters, Katie, Kristi (Jeff), and Kelly; nieces and nephews, Stella, Benjamin, Jackson, and Eva; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Michael will be most remembered as a caring and devoted father. Charlotte was a "daddy's girl" and meant the world to him. Her eyes would light up, and she had a huge smile every time she saw her Dada. Michael was a sports enthusiast and faithful Giants fan (despite their current standings!). He was also an avid reader, and loved spending time on the beautiful beaches of Southern California. He especially enjoyed watching sunsets at Crystal Pier with his family, often while playing a rousing game of Sorry! or Uno as the sun went down. Michael had a calm manner and was soft spoken, but when he would talk, he would often leave his family and friends laughing with his sarcastic sense of humor. His humor was one of a kind. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.
Michael's funeral mass will be held at 9 a.m., on Saturday February 21, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 347 Old Loudon Rd., Latham, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Charlotte Rich's 529 College Savings account to support her future, by visiting www.ugift529.com and entering code C84-H1J.
