Michael L. Rietski Sr.

Michael L. "Mikey" Rietski Sr., 63, of Latrobe (Unity Twp.), passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024, at home. He was born October 31, 1960, in McKeesport, a son of the late Edward and Anna Mae (Siebert) Rietski. He worked as a union asphalt raker for 42 years having most recently worked for Golden Triangle Construction. He just recently retired. His hobbies included bowling, fishing and he was an “All-Around Motor Head Enthusiast”. Mikey is survived by two children, Jacqueline Rietski Lyle (Derek) and Michael Rietski Jr.; two grandchildren, Camila and Vincent Lyle, all of North Carolina; and a sister, Barbara Ann Coughlin (Nick Sr.); his nephew, Nick Coughlin Jr. and his children. Michael was also blessed to have a small group of caregivers (the Komperda and Latimer families) who helped and watched over him over the last few months. As per his wishes there will be no public visitation. A private service for family, friends and caregivers to remember and honor him will be held.
