Charles R. Duffey Jr., 83, of Latrobe, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at home with his his wife by his side. He was born March 4, 1942, in Greensburg, a son of the late Charles R. Duffey Sr. and Cecelia L. (Nolan) Duffey. Charles served his country as a member of the US. Army. He was a Steel Worker, having worked for Latrobe Steel for over 30 years. A member of Bethany Church, he had a strong faith in God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Barry Dwayne Duffey, a sister, Sally Jo Duffey, a brother, Larry Duffey and his wife Nancy, and a brother, Thomas R. Duffey. Charles is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley E. (Metz) Duffey; a daughter, Tracey Duffey and her husband, Paul Swaney; and a grandson, Kian with whom he had a very special bond. At his request, a private funeral service will be held at St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg followed by entombment in the cemetery mausoleum. Family recommends memorial donations be made in his name to Bethany Church, 2415 Laveen St, Latrobe, PA 15650 or Action for Animals, P.O. Box 814, Latrobe, PA 15650.
