Boone Funeral Home and Crematory - Bossier CityMichael Thomas Roach, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, stepped into eternity on August 4, 2025, at the age of 84.
Born on September 1, 1940, Mike lived a life defined by faith, family, and service to others. Affectionately known by his family as “Bubba,” he was a man of quiet strength, enduring kindness, and deep wisdom—someone whose presence brought comfort and calm to those around him.
Mike proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard, where he developed the discipline, humility, and sense of duty that would shape his character throughout life. He remained a proud veteran and patriot, always grateful for the opportunity to serve.
Mike loved Jesus with all his heart and was never ashamed to openly talk about his faith. His life was a testimony to God’s grace and goodness, and he shared that message freely. Whether through words or actions, Mike made it known where his hope was anchored.
He had a deep love for gospel quartet music and spent many joyful years singing in church choirs. His voice was both a gift and a ministry, touching the hearts of many and glorifying the God he so faithfully served.
To all who knew him, Mike was known for having a sweet spirit—a gentle, gracious presence that lifted others and made them feel loved. He made friends everywhere he went and had a special way of leaving a lasting impression. His quick wit and signature one-liners brought smiles and laughter to countless conversations, often turning ordinary moments into cherished memories.
Mike is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy Roach. Together, they shared 62 years of marriage built on love, laughter, and unwavering partnership—a bond that served as a foundation for their family and an inspiration to all who knew them.
He is also survived by his daughter, Kris Lincoln and her husband Barry; and his son, Jeff Roach and his wife Gretchen. He was a proud and loving father, grandfather to seven grandchildren, and great-grandfather to eight great-grandchildren—each of whom he cherished deeply and inspired with his example of integrity, humility, humor, and faith.
Mike is also survived by his brothers, Gary Roach and Delbert Fuller; and his sister, Debbie Shaw Roach. He remained close to his siblings throughout his life, and their bond was rooted in love, laughter, and shared memories.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert D. Roach and Helen Jordan Roach; his sisters, Barbara “Sammy” Lattier, Sandra Roach Holland, and Durwilla “Dee” Roach Holland; and his brother, Max W. “Butch” Roach.
Mike’s legacy lives on in those he touched by his devotion to his family, his laughter, and his Savior—serving as a living example of a life well-lived, and a faith well-walked.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held on Saturday, August 16th at Bossier Life Church, located at 1701 Old Minden Road ( located in the back of the heart of Bossier shopping center) Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a celebration service at 11:00 AM.
