Michael Rogers Obituary

Born on November 29, 1954, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Michael lived a life marked by
dedication to his family, education, and career.
A graduate of Waterford Kettering High School in Waterford, Michigan, Class of 1973, Michael
pursued higher education at Michigan State University, earning his degree in 1981. He later
attended California Western School of Law and graduated in 1985. In 1986, he was admitted to
the California Bar and went on to become a partner at Lambert & Rogers Law Firm in El Cajon,
California.
Michael was the eldest child of Dean and Mary Jane Rogers. He was predeceased by his father
and two siblings: Jeffrey Rogers (Jennifer) and Janice Rogers of El Cajon. He is survived by his
mother, Mary Jane Rogers, and his sister Joyce Van de Kerkhove (JP) of Colorado Springs,
Colorado.
An avid runner and skier throughout his life, Michael found joy in physical activity and the
outdoors. His devotion to family was unwavering; he cared for his ailing parents with
compassion and dedication for many years.
Michael's memory will be cherished by those who knew him as a steadfast presence in their
lives. May his legacy bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.

My sincere condolences to the Rogers family. I met Mike when we both were 16 years old, his family moved to Waterford Hill. He came over to my house with shovel in hand to help with putting in our sand beach. Mike was kind & generous & funny.
He will be greatly missed and will always have a special place in my
John 11:25...until we meet again my sweet friend. Blessings

I met Mike while working with his partner Steve. Mike later took me on as a client, and what a kind, wonderful person he was. He helped me over and over again, and always offered great advice. He and Jan were so good to me. I will remember both of them forever
