Michael Warren Rostron

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael "Mike" Rostron, who died suddenly at his home in Bartlett, Illinois, from a heart attack on October 2nd.
As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate his life. Born on July 22, 1961, Mike was a man of wide-ranging intelligence and quick wit, able to turn even the most serious moments into lighter ones.
He attended Ball State University after graduating from Knox High School in 1979. Previously, he served as an altar boy at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Elementary School.
He went on to build a successful career in the printing and advertising industry. One of his most notable accomplishments was his contribution to the design and layout of The Great American Tradition - The 75th Anniversary of the Budweiser Clydesdales by esteemed author DIgby Diehl. He also provided creative insight for several other works, including major ad campaigns for Budweiser, McDonald's, Starbucks, and many others, as well as large-scale prints featured on buildings, buses, and even professional baseball field tarps.
A lifelong Chicago sports fan, Mike followed every team closely and enjoyed playing league softball among other recreational sports. He also gave generously of his time, volunteering at local food banks and in other community service roles.
Those who knew Mike will remember his intelligence, and humor.
His memory lives on in those who survive him, including his mother, Kathleen Rostron; his brothers, Kevin and Tom Rostron; and his sisters, Maureen Hendron, Lauren Frantz, and Regan Mangun. He is also fondly remembered by his former wife, Donna Moats, with whom he shared many years of friendship and respect.
