Michael Ronald Rothman, age 80, of Anthem, Arizona, passed away on April 10th, 2024. Born in Natick, Massachusetts, on November 4, 1943, to Anne and Paul Rothman, he grew up with his brothers, Gerald Rothman and Edwin McCabe.
From 1960 to 1964, Michael served honorably in the United States Air Force. He then enjoyed a distinguished 25-year career at Pratt and Whitney. In Wichita, Kansas, he met and wed Ginger Vaughan, the love of his life. Together they embarked on a journey that spanned the globe-from Kansas to Iran, Florida, Louisiana, various European countries, and finally settling in Arizona. Upon leaving Pratt and Whitney, the couple started a courier business which they ran successfully until their retirement in Arizona.
Michael's deep love for his family was evident in the way he cherished his late wife, Ginger, his sons, Jay-Paul and Jarrod, his daughter-in-law Olivia, and his grandchildren, Jackson and Josslyn.
An avid golfer, he developed and nurtured many enduring friendships on the course. He was a passionate sports fan, who was devoted to golf, the New York Yankees, and UConn Women's basketball.
Michael's memory is cherished by his sons, Jay-Paul Rothman, Lt. Colonel Jarrod Rothman and his wife, Olivia; his brother, Gerald Rothman Sr. and his wife, Marilyn; his sister-in-law, Shirley McCabe; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing on Thursday, April 25th, from 5-7pm at Hansen's Mortuary in Scottsdale.
The burial service will take place on Friday, April 26th, from 9:30am to 10am at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
As we remember Michael, let us celebrate his remarkable journey through life and the many hearts he touched. His enduring legacy of love and courage will forever resonate with those who were fortunate enough to know him.
