Michael P. Rumore

Michael "Mike" Phillip Rumore of Enfield passed away from his earthly journey at the age of 67 on Wednesday (February 7, 2024) in the comfort of his home surrounded by loved ones. Michael was born on May 10, 1957 in Springfield MA and was a lifelong resident of the Thompsonville section of Enfield. Michael was an Engineer in the US Army 25th Infantry Division stationed in Waianae HI. In his sparetime he was an avid sports fan. Michael loved the Boston Bruins, Red Sox, Celtics and the New York Giants. Michael leaves behind his partner of 28 years Jacquelyn Harte, his two daughters: Elizabeth Rumore of East Windsor CT, Michelle Rumore (Michael) of St. Petersburg FL, a son Charles Rumore of Enfield, and his pride and joy, his granddaughter Mia Irene Thompson. He is also survived by his four brothers, Thomas Rumore, David Rumore, Gino Rumore, and Steven Rumore (Renee) along with many nieces and nephews: Thomas and Allison Rumore, Antonia and Nicole Rumore, Samatha Brown, and Vincenzo and Josephine Rumore. He will be missed by his best buddy, his dog Jax. Michael was predeceased by his father and mother, Gasper and Irene (Mortell) Rumore, and his sister-in-law Kathleen Rumore (MacInnis). The Rumore family would like to extend their deepest gratitude for all of the outpouring support, compassion, and many acts of kindness from his nursing team at Hartford Healthcare Hospice. Burial will be private to the family, but there will be a celebration of life announced at a later date.
