Michael Augustus Salvage

Michael Augustus Salvage, 78 passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 21, 2024, after a long battle with dementia. He was born December 1,1945 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Morris and Emily Salvage.
For over 30 years Michael held a career as warehouse manager for K&B drugstores. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing pool and watching sporting events, particularly the New Orleans Saints.
He loved spending time with family and friends, grilling and making his favorite recipes for everyone.
Michael was known for his big heart, sense of humor and always being the life of the party. He had a passion for music, especially his favorite song, "Blueberry Hill", that he loved to sing and dance to.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, brother Morris Salvage, and his wife Philomena Finlayson Salvage.
He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth S. Schilleci (William) and Melissa S. Bilich (Christian).
Stepchildren, Helen (Julie) Rose Massarini (Louis) and Celeste M. Rose (Sean Dees). And loving grandchildren Justin C. Schilleci, Hunter A. Tatman, Julia C. Tatman, Lauren J. Ramsey, Charles A. Ramsey II.
Michael was also survived by many other extended family members who will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
