Michael A. Salvi, age 85, of McKeesport, died February 26, 2025, at UPMC Magee Hospital. Born October 12, 1939, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Michael A. and Mary (Verno) Salvi and the husband of Kathryn L. (Rittner) Salvi, for over 46 years. Mike was a retired Dental Technician and after he worked for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, where he helped folks with special needs. Mike attended St. Eugene Church of Liberty Borough, Saints Joachim & Anne Parish. He was also a member of MYARC of McKeesport. Mike enjoyed Pittsburgh sports especially, the Steelers and Penguins. He had a passion for food, loved cooking and trying new restaraunts. Mike was a great singer, enjoyed winter weather, and would always be there to lend a hand to anyone in need. In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by his children, Deanne (Todd) Gobbel of McKeesport and Vicki Salvi of McKeesport; siblings, Ann Hall of McKeesport, Lucy Hodge of Versailles Borough, and Mario Salvi of FL; sister-in-law, Marcella Salvi; nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Along with his parents, Mike was also preceded in death by his brothers, Angelo (Jean) Salvi, James Salvi, Anthony (Judy) Salvi, Rudy (Paula) Salvi, John (Sylvia) Salvi, Ernie Salvi; sister-in-law, Jerry Salvi; brother-in-laws, Donald Hodge, and Rodger Hall. Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, March 3, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, 10 a.m., at St. Eugene Church of Liberty Borough. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Salvi family. Committal prayers and burial will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
