Michael D. Sargent, 56, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away on February 11, 2025. Born on April 15, 1968, in Takoma Park, Maryland, Michael was a beloved father, and grandfather. He spent the latter part of his career as Supervisor at Old Castle Concrete Manufacturing in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Michael was a graduate of Magruder High School in Maryland, who carried with him the values instilled by his upbringing and education throughout his life. A man with a fun and caring nature, he was known for his warm personality, quietness and ability to lift the spirits of those around him with just a smile and his blue eyes.
Michael was an avid fan of music and podcasts and had a passion for woodworking, where he expressed his creativity and skill.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Sargent of Lewes, DE; his son, Casey Sargent of Ovieda, FL; his daughter, Kayla (Nick) Sargent, of Mt. Ephraim, NJ; and his cherished granddaughter, Luna Pacitti. He also leaves behind several family members residing in Elkton, Maryland, and South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen (Tom) McGoldrick; his father, David (Rocky) Sargent; and his Grandmother Kay.
A Memorial Gathering will take place on February 21, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, both held at Haisley Tribute Center, located at 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34984.
Michael D. Sargent will be remembered as a loving family man whose legacy of kindness and creativity will continue to inspire all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, Michael's family requests memorial contributions be made in his name to St. Jude’s's Children's Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org/donate
