Michael F. "Pappy" Sarko

Michael F. "Pappy" Sarko, 85, of Salisbury Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2023 in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of the late Shirley M. (Gottwald) Sarko. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Michael J. and Mary (Zednik) Sarko. Michael honorably served his country in the United States Marines. He worked as a Mail Carrier for over 35 years for the United States Postal Service, until retiring. Michael was a member of St. Ursula Catholic Church, Fountain Hill and a lifetime member of the Bethlehem Volunteer Fire Company and the Jefferson Democratic Club. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.

SURVIVORS: He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Darlene Bauer and her husband Robert of Bethlehem; brother Ronald M. Sarko of Macungie; grandchildren Robert Bauer Jr. and his wife Tanya and Kristy Cressman and her husband Justin and great grandchildren Makenzie, Avery, Jakob and Parker.

SERVICES: A Memorial Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill, PA 18015 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 A.M. until time of the service.
