Michael Jack Schroeder, 76, of Silver Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, surrounded by family. He was born on March 29, 1949, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, to Patricia and Jack Schroeder.
Michael proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and later continued his service as a reservist with the U.S. Navy Seabees in Sheboygan and the Army National Guard in Plymouth. He was especially proud of his time serving with the Seabees.
Michael grew up in Wisconsin and attended Abbot Pennings High School in De Pere, Wisconsin.
In 1972, Michael began his professional career by starting his own business, Schroeder Brothers, which he operated alongside his brothers Scott and Christopher. In 2009, he joined his father’s insurance firm, Jack Schroeder and Associates, where he worked until his retirement.
Michael was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather. He valued family deeply and was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and the quiet way he showed care for those around him.
He had many hobbies, with favorites including motorcycling, cars, photography, RC airplanes, and Karate. His curiosity and hands-on nature stayed with him throughout his life.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia and Jack Schroeder, and his daughter, Morgan Schroeder.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Schroeder; his children, James Schroeder (Joy), Alan Schroeder, and Erin Mueller; his brothers, Patrick, Christopher, Scott, Brian, and Shawn Schroeder; and his six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Countryside Funeral Home, 9185 NE 21st Ave., Anthony, FL 32617. Service and visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m - Noon.
