Michael had a profound love for the outdoors, particularly fishing and boating, and he found great joy in these pursuits throughout his life. His compassion for animals, especially his dogs, was evident to all who knew him. Michael's kind heart and unwavering support made him a pillar of strength for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alan and Patricia Hopman Shorter. Michael is survived by his sister, Daryl Shorter Lemon, and her husband Mike of Florida, along with extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Michael's legacy of kindness, dedication, and love for his family remains in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.
